At first, these opposites do not attract, but feelings begin to change when they find themselves having to work side-by-side to restore their newly acquired home.。故事发生在1970年代。杨林（秦海璐 饰）自幼父母双亡，她被父亲年轻时的恋人收为养女。一晃数年过去，养母的儿子白文（叶静 饰）爱上了她，杨林一时不知所措，她对这个没有血缘关系的弟弟产生不了异性情感，她喜欢的是院里打架大王宝赢（许凝 饰）。年初夕，宝赢因打架伤人被警察抓走，后来被判了十年徒刑。在就业难的日子里，杨林姐弟相互温暖，终于萌发了爱意，就在这时，扁豆（张炜迅 饰）强奸了杨林，白文好友李超（李超 饰）目睹后无力相救，而白文则一直蒙在鼓里。几年后，刑满释放的宝蠃娶了他人，情绪失控的杨林杀死了毁掉自已的扁豆然后自尽，如梦方醒的白文彻底疯了......。
