本系列纪录片讲述了三组来自世界各地令人大开眼界的“特殊人物”。一对来自巴基斯坦的“太阳能男孩”——白天生龙活虎，太阳一落山就完全陷入瘫痪，全身动弹不得。一名被“偷走青春”的英国少女——明明只有20岁却长了一副60多岁的容颜。还有来自印尼的世界上最重的男孩——190多公斤的体重，几乎让他寸步难行。这些人都因为各种全球罕见的病症，被生活逼上了绝路。本片将通过对他们的跟踪采访，揭示这些特殊人物的日常生活，以及他们对抗自身命运的不懈斗争。。Working on her fourth in the successful anthology romance series featuring the "in love" characters of Desmond Ranes and Catarina, Izzi Simmons is told by her best friend and editor Mila that the ending of her first draft, already past due, is unacceptable.
