改编自格雷厄姆·斯维夫特的同名小说。故事发生在1924年，尼文夫妇（科林·费斯、奥利维娅·科尔曼饰）去参加了邻居家儿子保罗（乔什·奥康纳饰）与艾玛（艾玛·达西饰）的订婚午餐会，尼文家的女佣简（奥黛莎·杨饰）因此可以放假去庆祝母亲节，她为自己的自由感到高兴。近7年来，她乐此不疲、毫无愧色地做了保罗的情人。这次他们终于可以在保罗的卧室里第一次见面了，今天将是他们作为恋人的最后一次见面。。一个20多岁的女人几年来第一次回老家度假她不仅遇到故人而且还被迫处理未解决的感情。Ricky is the hottest water-ski instructor around and he has just be rehired by his former employer/camp to whip up attendance. But the camp is in serious financial trouble and the owner of a rival, more popular, camp wants to buy them out. Therefore they will have to engage in a mean, winner-takes-all competition that will settle the row once and for all.。
