马克为了母亲替公司做伪证，遭神秘人要挟，被迫去银行盗巨款。银行经理竟是马克的初恋情人，取钱后两人旧情复燃。之后神秘人继续祸害马克，马克发誓摆脱控制，揭穿他的真面目。可惜报仇不成，反将自己推向生死边缘。。少年馬山雁，武功高強，玩世不恭。某日因救高鏢師而開罪歐行武。鬧市中金鳳父被小偷騙去還給沙兄弟之款項，適馬路經發現，略施小計，將銀騙回，馬與金鳳兩人一見傾心。金鳳父因還款不足而被沙下毒手，馬將父女二人救出，但金父已死，金鳳誓要報仇雪恨。沙兄弟因馬屢次破壞好事而懷恨在心，後馬母病危，馬急回家，在路上中沙之陷阱被擒，而馬幸得高鏢師感恩圖報，願以生命作擔保，准馬回家十天。其實此乃歐和沙之一石二鳥鬼計，利用馬作餌，迫高自刎。但馬剛到家，便已被沙之人再擒獲。後馬與金鳳用計脫身趕回時，發覺高已身亡，至此才知中計。馬直搗沙家展開一場激烈的龍虎鬥，結果大仇得殲，馬與金鳳終成眷屬。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
