After the relatively low box office takings of 'Intolerance', D. W. Griffith would revisit his epic film three years later by releasing two of the film's interlocking stories as standalone features, with some new additional footage. The first of the two was 'The Fall of Babylon', which depicts the conflict between Prince Belshazzar of Babylon and Cyrus the Great of Persia.。保罗和恋爱多年的女友终于要结婚了，可是在一次偶遇中他爱上了一个骑自行车的女人赛西儿。赛西儿是一位单身母亲，带着两个年幼的孩子生活。保罗无意中把赛西儿撞骨折了，只好去她家去照个孩子。随着接触的深入，保罗和赛西尔成为了兄妹，最终各自都找到了彼此的幸福。。
