Their journey takes us from the most humbling of road gigs to grand performances on the biggest of stages, from finding love to terrible personal loss| and to the prospect of losing everything for a dream others do...。该剧讲述了共产党战士唐烨在东北光复过程中救了国民党情报人员武同，几经周折武同发现唐烨竟是自己失散多年的儿子，并陷入纠结和选择。。该片要讲述的是春秋战国时期，秦昭襄王倾慕齐国孟尝君贤能，两度邀请，最后拜其为相国。后来，秦王听信谗言，担心孟尝君“先齐而后秦”，危及秦国社稷安全，于是罢免了孟尝君，并把孟尝君囚禁起来，图谋杀掉孟尝君。孟尝君趁夜色逃离秦国，到函谷关正是半夜。按当时秦国法规，函谷关每天鸡叫才开门，孟尝君凭借“鸡鸣狗盗”才得以顺利逃离函谷关。。
