在调查大麻走私案时，汉城江南警察所检事李松云（赵宰贤 饰）发现此案与黑帮天堂——全罗南道木浦市成启派有关。为查案，他变换了身份为南基男，并在女检察官李彩云（宋善美 饰）协助下，伪造犯罪纪录，卧底潜入组织。他被木浦港口卖鱼的老板奉为神明，一起策划了暗杀白成启计划。他趁机将计就计，做了叛徒，当了白成启（车仁表 饰）的小跟班。他沦为小混混。但是，为了组织，他参加了一场拳击赛，为了寻宝计划广告商，他终于拖到了最后一秒，赢得了比赛。此后，他牺牲色相帮助组织拿到了合同，并且在宴会上逼退了警察。逐渐获得了白成启的信任，成为了宣传理事，引发了白成启帮手窦昊的嫉妒。然而此时，白成启却看上了李彩云……。好不容易进入了大学，想要好好学习出人头地的“完美”男生李清吉，刚一入学就莫名被拐入了一个三流摇滚乐队，队长燕回空有一张帅脸却性格超差，这种颓废的生活根本是浪费青春！但是，他所弹奏的旋律，却唤起了李清吉尘封于心中的回忆……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
